About us

Galaxy Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by a local father and son brewing team who are dedicated to producing the finest craft ales. Galaxy Brewing Co. and brewpub represent the culmination of their life long aspiration to deliver quality beer to Binghamton and beyond. We are dedicated to producing the finest craft beer and excellent food using as much locally sourced products as possible. Look for our grand opening in spring of 2013!

Galaxy will be located in the old Phil’s Gift Shop location on the Metrocenter Mall. Our address is 41 Court St/153 & 157 Washington St. Binghamton, NY 13901. We are very proud to be part of the efforts to revitalize Downtown Binghamton and to be able to be in the building that housed such a Binghamton landmark as Phil’s Gifts.

Renovations

After some setbacks and delays, renovations are scheduled to begin in January 2013. We purchased a 10 bbl brewing system and six 10 bbl fermentors from Premier Stainless. We are in possession of the fermentation tanks and the Brew House will be shipped shortly. Beers

There will be 10-12 beers on at any one time as well as seasonal offerings and one-off beers. The beers will range over a multitude of styles, including various styles of Ales, Lagers, and particularly Belgian Ale styles. We will have a Pilsner, a Bock, an ESB, an IPA, a specialty Stout, a Belgian Golden, a Belgian Dubbel, and a hoppy Belgian ale as well as other seasonal beers and cask conditioned ales. As we progress we also plan on getting into barrel aging beers and even spontaneous fermentation beers.
